Hey Everyone! 🙂
I was contacted a little while ago by Rebecca From Dodopad who had been given my information from the lovely Steve Morton over at Philofaxy . Rebecca was querying if I would possibly like to receive some of the new Dodopad notepaper ranges to review.
Of course I jumped at the chance. I love Dodopad. The fact that you can now get paper for your planners is brilliant!
I was sent a pack of paper for an A5, Personal and A6 planner.
Each pack was grid note paper with a plain back and was 100GSM thickness.
The page has a tiny little Dodo in the corner which is adorable and a lovely touch.
The first thing I noticed when I took the paper out of it’s packet was the smoothness, it felt really nice and thicker than I expected.
I got out all my most common pens, some other sheets of various papers and got to work comparing.
The pens I used were:
*Lamy Fountain Pen
* Uniball Signo Sakura 0.38
* Faber- Cassell Xs
* Standard Biro
* Cocoiro Fine Nib
The paper I compared it to was Kikki-K and Simple Stories.
To write on I definitely preferred the Dodopad, it was smoother and the Ink dried and settled quicker on the page.
There was no bleedthrough or ghosting at all on the underside of the page, there was a small amount of ghosting on the Simple Stories paper and nothing on Kikki-K either.
The results were the same for the a6 and personal.
Overall I really like the Dodopad paper and this will be what I now source for my planners. The faint grid lines make it really nice to work with.
The A5 paper retails at £4.50 per pack of 25 sheets and the personal and a6 retail for £3.75 and are extremely good value for money.
