NaNo Planer set up using Royal Planner Design Team Kit

Hey everyone,

It’s been a while since I have done a planner set-up post but that’s because I have been pretty steady in the planners I am using.

As a writer, I often take part in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) but I tend to have stuff dotted all over the place. For April I decided to work on my current novel during that time.

Now the book I am writing requires a lot of background research which will probably take more time than writing the actual story. As such following a friend of mine I set up a ring binder for it. I am using the Grey Wellness Planner by Kikki-K.

First of all, as you can see I have kept the pockets pretty simple as I may need to use them for bits as I progress. When you open the first thing you see if this beautiful acetate dashboard which I cut too since from A4. This was included in the Design Team kit I received from Royal Planner.

Next, we have a few other dashboards and some plastic wallets and then the pocket I have made with papers and stickers from the kit.

The first divider, well all dividers and tabs also came from the kit as the box includes papers to make items with.
This opens the section into drafts of written chapters, these are unedited and rough.

The next section contains andy helpful things I made need like this word association wheel.

After that, we have character profiles and descriptions.

Next in the scene setting trackers.

Followed by other bits which are useful, tools to help with the climax, rising actions etc.

Lastly, we have a setting aid.

These sheets are all printables from various sources but mainly from Writer’s Digest.
The Royal Planner kit is from here and is available in various styles and sizes. If you use code Emma15 you will also receive a 15% discount.

Thanks for reading.
